Who We Are

Dr. Gordon Young and his wife, Wanda, were married in October of 1956. They have four children. One is pastor of a church in Southern California. The second is married to a football coach in Southern Florida. The third is an ordained minister with Agape International. The fourth is a full-time student.

Gordon Young was ordained in 1960 in a world-wide charitable and mission-minded, Christian Church affiliated with thousands of other Christian Churches World Wide. Gordon was the President of the Missionary Society during his time in Bible College. During the 80’s and 90’s, Wanda was the Women’s Ministry Representative of the Southern California Assemblies of God.

Gordon’s pastoral ministry began near Washington D.C. where he also served as Presbyter over more than thirty churches. After graduating college, Gordon earned the Delta Epsilon Chi award for his accomplishments in founding the Assemblies of God churches in Waynesboro and Harrisburg, Virginia. Gordon also worked with Pat Robertson and the 700 Club in Norfolk, Virginia, where he was the first night time voice on a program titled “God is Keeping the Night Watch”.
Gordon also ministered to congregations in Charlottesville, North Carolina, as well as, Escondido, San Marcos and Redlands, California. He was named Secretary -Treasurer of a youth organization that was made up of hundreds of churches in three states and the District of Columbia. During the forty-plus years of his pastoral ministry, he served many congregations prior to his retirement from being a pastor in January 2001.
Being Pastor for more than forty years has given Gordon Young a first-hand acquaintance with, and an awareness of the needs for charitable gifts and financial outreach. He has provided leadership in activities to combat poverty, and to assist widows, orphans and the unemployed. Gordon established National Outreach Foundation as a tool to continue his outreach activities and fulfill his need for giving.
